Ramjac Ships Xpressionist for Electric Image UniversePlugin enables scripting for 3D suite
Xpressionist uses mathematical formulas to feed custom data into frames to control objects. The formulas can use data from any channel in the animation, so when the value of one property is changed, it can affect the values in other channels.
The plugin calls up a scripting interface that includes three tabs: Editor, Channel and Preference. The Editor tab is used to write the scripts, and the Channel tab allows users to choose individual objects and their property channels from a list. (Channels include a variety of parameters, such as Y, Y and Z position; yaw; surface colors; reflectivity; etc.) And the Preference tab allows users to define how Xpressionist updates your project. It also allows users to define custom channels. Examples of the interface and explanations of how each tab works are available at Electric Image''s Web site.
Xpressionist requires EI Universe 4.0.7. It's available now for $249. For more information, visit http://www.electricimage.com.
