The Raconteurs recently recorded their highly-anticipated debut album, "Broken Boy Soldiers," at Memphis' Ardent Studios, which is this year celebrating its 40th Anniversary. The Raconteurs feature White Stripe's frontman Jack White and power pop master Brendan Benson, who both emphasize that this is not a side project, but a serious group with full on dedication from both White and Benson, as well as drummer Patrick Keeler and bassist Jack Lawrence (who collectively made up the rhythm section on Loretta Lynn's latest record). The Raconteurs is a departure for both singers, as neither is known for sharing the lead in a "Paul and John" balance. The first single, "Steady, As She Goes," was released March 7 in North America. The album is slated for release May 16 on Third Man/V2 Records.
