PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) ' Citizens Bank says it has repaired a computer glitch that affected its website and automated teller machines for several hours.
The Providence, R.I.-based bank has more than 1,500 branches throughout the country. It said in a statement Friday afternoon its computers are now fully operational. Customers may still experience some problems when logging on to the bank's website because of high demand.
Bank Vice President Amie Kershaw thanks customers for their patience. She says unspecified technical issues caused the problems, which were first noticed Friday morning.
Citizens Financial Group Inc. has Citizens Bank branches in 12 states. It's a unit of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
