RE:Vision Ships RE:Flex 2.0 for After Effects

New release combines automatic and manual morphing features By Dave Nagel
RE:Vision FX has released RE:Flex 2.0. RE:Flex is a morphing and warping plugin for Adobe After Effects. The new version, available now, combines manual feature matching with automatic image registration.

RE:Flex uses existing tools in After Effects for morphing and warping and does not require users to learn a new interface. For aligning shapes, REFlex uses the same tracking technology found in the company's Twixtor plugin and uses vertex controls for fine tuning the shape matching process. Other features include:

  • Variable dissolve rates are available per shape;
  • Variable rates of shape inbetweening are available per shape;
  • A smart blend feature to blend between images when one image tears away from the edges during the morph.
  • Additional RE:Flex Motion Morph plugin for morphing between two sequences.

RE:Flex 2.0 is available for Macintosh and Windows for $495. After Aug. 3, the price will be $595. For more information, visit http://www.revisionfx.com.
