Quik-Lok Systems On-Tour with Everlast's Musical Director and Keyboardist

(September 04, 2001)
Quik-Lok, the world's largest manufacturer of musical instrument stands, exclusively distributed by Music Industries Corp., is proud to announce that Keefus Ciancia, keyboardist and musical director for Everlast, is the latest high-profile musician to show his support for Quik-Lok Systems.

Playing keyboards with Everlast is demanding with a yearlong schedule of international headlining tour dates and television appearances in support of Everlast's latest studio release, EAT AT WHITEY'S. Prior to joining Everlast's band as keyboardist and musical director, Keefus toted heavy synthesizer guns for WEAPONS OF CHOICE, a genre-busting musical machine that drew upon many musical styles of funk and progressive rock. With Everlast, Keefus uses a wide variety of one-of-a-kind keyboards, synthesizers and stomp boxes to create the lush textures for Everlast's unique blend of eclectic acoustic driven, Hip-Hop-flavored, genre crossing, thinking man's songs.

With such a wide-variety of unique keyboards, Keefus required rugged and dependable keyboard stands he could rely on night after night. Keefus uses three Quik-Lok Z-726, double-tier, height adjustable, "Z" Series keyboard stands and a QL-641, heavy duty, double-braced, "X" style stand.

Keefus, who recently returned for a European leg of the tour, stated, "I really don't have anymore concerns thanks to Quik-Lok Stands. I have actually had other keyboard stands collapse on me while onstage. In one such instance, my keyboard tech actually had to hold the keyboard in playing position for me until the song was finished. That's when I made up my mind to stop skimping on my keyboard stand purchases. With Quik-Lok supporting my gear, I no longer have to worry about such a catastrophe happening. I trust the reliability of Quik-Lok implicitly. Now I can clean out my garage of the remnants scrap metal from all of the other stands I have used over the years."

Keefus' keyboard tech, Billy Paige - also keyboard tech for Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker keyboardist Jimmie Bones and Uncle Kracker keyboardist Mark Meirs - states, "Working with some of the biggest touring bands out there, I recommend and specify Quik-Lok stands for any working pro or up-and-comer. As someone who has been on the road with for the past five years working with, setting up and maintaining the gear, I know what works and what doesn't. Quik-Lok is the most dependable instrument stand line in the world and I cannot even imagine going out on the road with a lesser product."
