AFFTON, Mo. (AP) ' The St. Louis County prosecutor's office has called a news conference to discuss the investigation into the death of a 13-month-old boy whose mother has been detained.
The prosecutor's office has issued a statement saying it will address the case at the Wednesday afternoon news conference. The statement does not say whether prosecuting attorney Bob McCulloch plans to announce charges, and a spokesman for the office declined to comment.
Twenty-year-old Shelby Dasher was arrested on a 24-hour hold order early Wednesday. Police had 24 hours in which to press charges or they must release her.
Dasher reported Tuesday that her son, Tyler, was not in his crib when she woke up. His body was found hours later near a cemetery about a mile from their Affton home.
