Primera Ships Bravo Disc PublisherCD/DVD duplicator supports Mac OS X
The Bravo Disc Publisher automates disc duplication by providing a robot mechanism that handles up to 25 CDs or DVDs per job. It's available in two configurations, a CD-R version and a Pioneer-based combo DVD-R/CD-R version. The standard CD-R model offers 52x recording; the combo version records DVDs at 4x and CDs at 16x. After discs are burned, the mechanism then shuffles the disc into the duplicator's integrated printer to print in full-color, 2,400 DPI resolution directly on the surface of the disc.
According to Primera, the Bravo system attaches to any Macintosh running Mac OS X with a USB or FireWire port. It includes Charismac's Discribe 5 duplication software and can use typical image editing and graphics applications like Adobe Photoshop to generate the graphics to be printed on the discs. According to the company, it can also be used with Windows systems with an additional add-on software option.
The 52x Bravo CD Publisher is available now for $1,995. The 4x/16x Bravo DVD Publisher is available now for $2,495. A business card adapter kit is also available for an additional $199. The kit allows users to publish 80 mm minidiscs and business card-shaped CDs. For more information, visit http://www.primera.com.
