AMEK AMEK is debuting the Pure Path Dual Mic-amp Compressor/Limiter (DMCL) at NAMM 2002 (Soundcraft Booth # 7123 in the Arena), the first Pure Path signal processor with digital outputs. It is designed for front-end connectivity to any digital console or workstation.
BIAS is showing Peak 3.0 and Deck 3.5 for OS X. Peak is two-track digital audio editing/processing application for the macintosh available with extensive plug-in support (including VST) that supports Sound Manager plus Apple's new CoreAudio standard, with performance beyond 24-bit/96kHz. BIAS Deck features advanced multitrack editing, mixing, and signal processing -- with support for 64 simultaneous tracks, 999 virtual tracks, realtime automated mixing, CoreAudio or ASIO, and VST plug-ins. It has Timecode support, OMF, and frame-accurate QuickTime sync for interfacing with Final Cut Pro, iDVD, Media 100, Avid, Premiere, and other video/DVD editing systems.
BitHeadz announces ?Unity 3 Session, which combines and expands upon Unity DS-1 and Retro AS-1, the company's music software for Mac & PC. The new 3.0 plug-in architecture allows the combination of sampling, synthesis, and physical modeling, with extensive real-time audio manipulation features. The new multi-synthesized sounds are now called ?Instruments and can be edited and later accessed by third party sequencers via MIDI like a standard Unity Program. The suggested retail price is $649.
Cycling 74 will be announcing pluggo 3, with support for Digidesign's RTAS plug-in format.
