Poynt Local Search and Advertising Platform Surpasses 11 Million Users & 2.1 Billion Interactions Globally(November 09, 2011)
CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/09/11 -- Poynt Corporation (TSX VENTURE:PYN) ("Poynt Corp." or the "Company"), a global leader in mobile local search and advertising, today announced the Poynt Platform, ("Poynt" or "the Platform") has surpassed the 11 million user milestone. In addition an aggregate of 2.1 billion interactions have been recorded by Poynt users globally. The increase in users and interactions has been a catalyst for the Company's revenue growth.
Over the past twelve month period, the Platform has experienced 158% growth in its user base. Poynt has surpassed 2.1 billion interactions, up from 1 billion interactions on March 11, 2011, representing a doubling of user activity in only eight months.
Throughout this growth, the Company has continued to update the Platform with new features that have been customer driven, such as the addition of information on local gas prices, local events and offers. These features are enhanced by the Company's patented location-based technology and deep device integration.
