Post Logic Studios Expands Roster of ColoristsSenior Colorists Mike Cosola and Eric Alvarado Join in NYC and LA (August 15, 2005)
Leading post-production boutique Post Logic Studios has added to its talent roster by hiring senior colorists Mike Cosola and Eric Alvarado for its Hollywood and New York digital respectively. The additions come at a time when Post Logic is poised to implement a multi-million dollar capital expansion of equipment and digital intermediate services.
Senior colorist Mike Cosola, who has worked at Encore Hollywood, Sight Effects and 525, brings an impressive list of long form and short form credits. His recent projects include several episodes of the National Geographic series “Strange Days on Planet Earth,” commercials for Target and Ford, and music videos for Coldplay (“Speed of Sound”) and Jay Z (“99 Problems”). He was the colorist on “The Hire,” BMW’s revolutionary series of short films by directors John Frankenheimer, Ang Lee, Wong Kar-Wai, Guy Ritchie and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, whose film “Powder Keg” won Clio and AICP awards for cinematography. Other directors with whom Cosola has worked on commercials and music videos include Mark Romanek, Gore Verbinski, Michel Gondry and Peter Smillie.
Senior colorist Eric Alvarado joins Post Logic NYC from PostWorks, where he worked on feature films, episodic television, commercials, music videos, and independent films. Eric performed the digital intermediate on the Academy Award-nominated documentaries “The Fog of War" and "Tupac Resurrection.” The longtime colorist for the Emmy Award-winning television series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," Eric has also worked on “John Leguizamo’s Freak,” “Sex and the City” and “Kings of Comedy,” and music videos for Aerosmith, Jay Z, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and Dave Mathews. In addition to his long form credits, Alvarado counts AT&T, Hanes, Maybelline, Puma, McDonald's, and Verizon among his commercial clients for both the U.S. and Latin markets.
“As a talent-driven company, this is an exciting time for us,” says Steve Hendricks, Post Logic Studios president and CEO. “Post Logic is expanding its services and allocating millions of dollars for the latest DI and high definition gear. To add the creative skills of colorists like Mike and Eric to our already superb talent base positions us for a great future.”
