A celebration of creativity founded by Will Vinton (August 01, 2001)
The 12th annual Portland Creative Conference, coming to the Portland Center for the Performing Arts September 13, is offering a registration discount to Digital Media Net readers.

This year, all Digital Media Net readers may attend at a significant discount rate of $275 (regular admission is $594, $495, and $395). Details on how to get the discount are below.

The Portland Creative Conference is a non-profit event founded by Will Vinton of Will Vinton Studios. Held Sept. 13 - 15, the conference probes the spirit of creativity, with digital artists, animators, designers, writers, producers, directors, and multimedia magicians coming together to share their personal insights into the creative process.

Conference attendees from around the country will be treated to a rare inside peek into some of the best minds in the imagination business, including:

-- Charles Schwartz, technology expert, presenting "Digital Cinema: Creative Opportunity or Technology Nightmare?"

-- John Schwartzman, cinematographer on "Pearl Harbor," and "Armageddon"

-- Mike Judge, animator and creator of "Beavis and Butthead" and "King of the Hill"

-- Tom Kelley, product designer and general manager for IDEO ( from iMac, Palm V and Microsoft Mouse)
