Popular Dog News Site Wants to Get Their Dog Pile in Everyones Hands
(November 02, 2012)Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) November 02, 2012
Dogington Post, a popular dog website full of dog news, pet food recalls, heart-warming stories and videos, product reviews and more, was built and conceived through the combined efforts of dog-loving bloggers, technicians and compassionate volunteers.
Since the sites launch in March of this year, it has grown in popularity; added a veterinarian and animal behaviorist to its staff; and now reaches up to 2.6 million dog lovers each week. And now; the wildly popular site is venturing into the world of gaming with a focus on - what else? Dogs!
Dog Pile is an addictive, high-speed whimsical game from the creators of Dogington Post. It is a free app for Apple iPad and iPhone. Designed and destined to become a viral sensation.
Our game is based on a concept that dog owners can really relate to intimately, said Harlan Kilstein, Top Dog at Dogington Post. And it has just enough of a gross-out factor that even if you dont have a dog, you still think its funny!
So far, Dog Pile has been funded entirely out of pocket by the developers of Dogington Post. Now, they are turning to the Kickstarter Community to ask for help to improve the production value of the game and to beef up marketing once the game is complete.
The Dogington Post team is very passionate and devoted to getting their game completed. All team members have years of experience launching products from conception to retail and they all share one common goal. We use a lot of humor and fun on our website and in the Dog Pile game, said Kilstein, but we always have dogs and their welfare at the heart of our focus. Thats why a portion of the proceeds we earn from Dog Pile will be donated to non-profit dog rescue groups.
The project has a funding goal of $20,000 and has offered many rewards to those who help, ranging from Dog Pile branded dog collars and t-shirts, beta testing of the game, and even opportunities to have your own dogs likeness added into the game.
Dog Piles Kickstarter campaign is scheduled to run for 30 days and will end on Friday Nov 30, 10:34am EST. Kickstarter campaigns function under an all-or-nothing funding model so if Dog Pile doesnt reach its goal at the end of 30 days, no funding is received.
Dogington Post would really like to get their Dog Pile into everyones hands! If youd like to help them reach that goal, visit the projects Kickstarter site here:
