Police say man is arrested in deaths of 4 in W.Va.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) ' Authorities say they've arrested a man wanted in connection with the deaths of four people whose bodies were found in a wooded part of central West Virginia.

Television station WOWK ( ) reports that West Virginia State Police said that James Belknap was arrested Monday. State Police Sgt. Michael Baylous said he was found not far from the crime scene when he was arrested.

Authorities said they believe the bodies found Saturday were those of a missing man, his girlfriend and his two young children. Authorities said Steven Hendrix; his girlfriend, Amber Martin; and his two young children, ages 6 and 4, had not been seen since May 19.

Police say the bodies were found about a mile from where the man's missing 2003 Chevy Venture van was discovered Friday night.
