PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) ' Police arrested about 10 demonstrators early Sunday with the Occupy Portland movement and appear poised to haul off about 20 more.
The protesters were arrested after they refused to leave a park in an affluent district after a midnight curfew.
Police pulled a van up to a group of about 30 protesters sitting in a circle at Jamison Square and began arresting them one-by-one.
Television footage shows about 10 have been arrested in the past 15 minutes.
The protesters all appeared to be in their 20s and 30s. They were taken individually, handcuffed and put in the van. One of them continued to chant "we are the 99 percent" as he was being hauled away.
Dozens of other protesters remained on the edges of the park, shouting "solidarity" and other words of support for their colleagues.
