Polaroid Ships SprintScan 4000 PlusSlide scanner offers enhanced dynamic range
The SprintScan 4000 Plus scans 35 mm slides, filmstrips and Advanced Photo System (APS) film formats. It has an optical resolution of 4,000 DPI, a dynamic range of 4.2 Dmax and a scan time of less than one minute for a 35 mm slide at 4,000 DPI.
The new scanner also comes with two software packages--Polaroid PolaColor Insight Pro and Silverfast Ai 5.5 and HDR by Lasersoft. The software suite offers scanning capabilities, dodging and burning, color correction and dust removal. t also gives users the ability to create film profiles for chromes with the supplied IT8 target.
The SprintScan 4000 Plus is available now for $1,295. Other scanner's in Polaroid's line of professional-level scanners include the SprintScan 120 Plus (medium format scanner) and the SprintScan 45 Ultra multi-format scanner (for negatives and slides up to 4" x 5").
