Pinnacle Systems Ships Thunder 5.2Server exchanges with QuickTime-enabled production systems (September 13, 2002)
Pinnacle Liquid Blue, Liquid Silver and Liquid Purple users can convert their edited files to Thunder Media File (TMF) format and send them directly to Thunder using Thunder browse. They can also use Thunder browse to retrieve DV files from Thunder without an operator.
Thunder?s QuickTime export capability enables Thunder to convert any TMF to a QuickTime movie, which can then be sent to any compatible NLE system over the network.
Pinnacle has also released a new plugin for QuickTime (available for Macintosh and Windows) for converting QuickTime files to the TMF format, which can then be sent to one of Thunder?s watch folders over the network.
