Pink Princess Games Launches Princessy Cupcakes, Childrens Mobile App for iPad, iPhone

  (December 14, 2011)

Corona, CA (PRWEB) December 14, 2011

Princessy Cupcakes, a new children's game app from Pink Princess Games, was made live last week in the iTunes market. This innovative app lets a child build a picture of their own cupcake, complete with patterned wrappers, multiple cupcake flavors, colorful icing, and sprinkles of their choice. Princessy Cupcakes players can then share their creation with adorable stuffed animals in the The Pink Princess Shop, or by saving it as a photo and sending it via text, email, Twitter, or Facebook. Friends and family can swap virtual cupcakes, and show off their cupcake-design skills.

Princessy Cupcakes can be downloaded for free in the iTunes store, and paid in-app upgrades can be made for a wider range of decorating options, including princess toppers to garnish a freshly decorated cupcake.

The app is based on the popular Facebook page,The Pink Princess Shop, which has built a community and loyal following around cupcakes, unicorns, princesses, and other fairy tale icons.

Princessy Cupcakes owner, Kim Byrne of Pink Princess Games, saw a demand for the app in Spring, 2011, after her Facebook page grew steadily in popularity. I purchased my first iPhone and fell in love with the world of apps. I wanted to create apps for girls that would be unique and delight users of all age groups. I hope that Princessy Cupcakes is just the start of this business. After only a few days in the iTunes store Princessy Cupcakes has been downloaded thousands of times.

Byrne notices that the appeal of Princessy Cupcakes has a wider audience than initially meets the eye, This app isnt just for the kids that play it, she says, its for the parents that are trying to check out at the grocery store, or prepare dinner. Kids apps can really give parents a rare moment to themselves. In addition to fun for the kids and a break for mom and dad, Byrne says its a special treat for all the friends and family who are on the receiving end of a cupcake decorated just for them.

Ultimately, it's about bringing a smile to someones face and entertaining others in new and amusing ways...I love the feeling of being able to accomplish this through technology, says Byrne.

Pink Princess Games was founded by Kim Byrne of Corona, California, in early 2011 with the goal of delighting users of all ages through cute technology. What started as a community-oriented facebook page has become a successful mobile app as Byrne works to reach a larger audience of cupcake loving princesses. "I hope that Princessy Cupcakes is just the start of this business," says Byrne, looking forward to what's next.
