Photomag Serves as Post Home for "Being Bobby Brown"PostWorks New York's post-production boutique to handle Bravo's hit series (September 02, 2005)
Photomag Sound & Image, PostWorks New York's renowned full-service post-production boutique in Midtown Manhattan, today detailed their role in supporting the production of Bravos hit reality television series, ?Being Bobby Brown.
Co-produced by B2 Entertainment and Brownhouze Entertainment for Bravo, the series executive producers include Tracey Baker-Simmons and Wanda Shelley for B2, and Bobby Brown and Tommy Brown are co-executive producers for Brownhouze.
?The producers of this series have been great to us, said Jeremiah Hawkins, PostWorks executive producer, sales. ?When they decided to make Photomag their post-production home, we expanded to meet their needs almost overnight. Providing extensive four-wall space, five offline Avid suites and two online suites is something few companies in Manhattan can match, and were delighted to have had this chance to support this talented production team.
?One of the greatest things about PostWorks has been their flexibility, Wanda Shelley commented. ?They have been a great team player. We appreciate how supportive they have been of the project.
?Im an Avid editor, and the level of support for Avid at Photomag is exceptional, said Jimmy Mazzullo, B2s offline editor for the project, who has edited projects for CNN, MTV and VH1, among many others.
?Weve predominantly used Avid Xpress Pro to assemble all the rough edits that were sending over to Bravo, and the systems color-correction features ensure that the story comes through with minimal distractions, even in the rough stages. Photomags commitment to the Avid platform through all project phases has simplified the process of editing this series.
The final version of each episode was conformed at Photomag by online editors Travis Antolik and Steve Beganyi as well as freelancer Brian Turner. Photomag mixer Lou Teti created each episodes final mix. Photomags supporting team also included coordinating producer Bryn Neuenschwander and account executive Stephen Ostrow.
PostWorks has solid experience supporting the daily demands of reality television. Scout Productions, the production company behind Bravos 2004 Emmy winning Outstanding Reality Program "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," has made its home within PostWorks SoHo facility since the series debut in 2003. For ?Queer Eye, PostWorks also provides scalable production space, Avid Media Composers for offline, Avid Symphonies for online and also handles color correction and various other post-production needs as they arise.
