Pervasip's VoX Communications Completes Development of Its Symbian Mobile VoIP App

(May 10, 2010)

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 10, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pervasip Corp. (OTCBB:PVSP), a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and smart phone technologies, today announced its subsidiary VoX Communications has completed development of a downloadable mobile VoIP application for use on Symbian® mobile phones.

Pervasip's Chief Information Officer Mark Richards noted, "We are continuing our development efforts with further applications and mobile VoIP service for additional phone operating systems. Our mobile VoIP app is now operating on Symbian phones, and we are working to build the websites and develop the functionality so that the app can be downloaded anywhere in the world. The Symbian app is our second successful mobile VoIP application, and perhaps the most important one, based upon the number of mobile phones that currently utilize the Symbian operating system. We believe the Symbian app has significant international reach, as millions of Nokia Symbian series S60 phones have been sold worldwide. We anticipate that many of those mobile subscribers will be able to download our app and enjoy unlimited calling to the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico from their own country for as little as $29.95 a month. This app is another reason why purchasing a smart phone makes sense to an increasing number of people, as they find more compelling reasons to own the latest generation of devices. The Symbian devices that we will initially support include the extremely popular E6x, E7x and N8x series phones."

According to Gartner, 80 million Symbian devices were sold worldwide in 2009, or approximately 47% of the entire global smartphone market. Symbian devices are so dominant in the marketplace today, that it would take the combined sales of the iPhone, RIM, Windows Mobile and Android to equal the same volume opportunity. VoX estimates that its app can be downloaded to more than 100 million Symbian mobile phones that are currently in use. Gartner also projects that Nokia will sell in excess of 100 million Symbian phones in each of the next 3 years.
