Pentax Announces Optio Digital CamerasNew 550 model offers 5 megapixel resolution
The new Pentax Optio 550 offers a 5 megapixel resolution, a 5x optical zoom (for a total of 20x with digital zoom), full manual control, panorama assist, a voice recording mode and support for up to 10 minutes of video capture with sound. Other features include:
- Time-lapse movie
- Optical viewfinder
- Nine-image zoom display
- Digital filter mode
- Built-in auto flash
- Various preset shooting and picture modes
- White balance mode
- Metering options
- Settings for sharpness, saturation, and contrast
- 1.5-inch LCD screen.
The Optio 450 offers the same features, but with a 4 megapixel resolution. Both cameras offer USB connectivity and AV inputs.
The new Optio 33L is more consumer-oriented. It offers a small form factor with a swivel LCD screen, a 30-second movie mode, a 3x optical zoom (8x total), USB connectivity, various automated shooting functions and support for Exif 3.3 and Print Image Matching II.
