Panasonic To Ship 124-Minute HD VTRSDTI option available
The AJ-HD1600 records for up to 124 minutes on a newly developed DVCPRO Extra-large (XL) cassette, 92 minutes on a DVCPRO Large cassette and 33 minutes on a DVCPRO Medium cassette. The new VTR also includes a built-in format converter, which includes 16:9/4:3 aspect ratio conversations in addition to SD to HD upconversion or HD to SD downconversion. Other features include:
- Slow motion playback of -1.0 to +2.0 in DVCRO HD-LP mode, -1.0 to +1.1 in DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50/P and DVCPRO;
- An HD SDI (SMPTE 292M) for interconnectivity with other digital HD equipment;
- 4U size.
Options on the new model include 270 Mbps Serial Data Transport Interface (SDTI) for the lossless transfer of HD video between like-equipped HD equipment and a VANC board for recording ancillary data such as metadata or closed-caption data.
