PICTORION Das Werk Upgrades IMAGICA Film ScannerInstalls new IMAGER XE-ADVANCED (February 01, 2005)
IMAGICA Coorporation, Tokyo, Japan, announced today that German-based PICTORION Das Werk has upgraded its IMAGICA digital film scanner to the latest model, the IMAGER XE-ADVANCED. PICTORION immediately used the upgraded scanner for a German novel-based film on which it is currently working.
PICTORION Das Werk is a digital picture and sound post-production house, which operates a German-wide network with offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich. It offers the full range of high quality digital postproduction services at all of its branches for the advertising, music, TV and film industries.
The IMAGER XE-ADVANCED scans 4096 pixels across a 35mm Academy frame and provides cineon format with full RGB color space (14bit A/D). The IMAGER XE-ADVANCED scans 2 seconds per frame for 2K down sampling and 4 seconds per frame for 4K original sampling with a new 5K- camera system.
Mr. Makoto Tsukada, Director of the Engineering Solutions Division at IMAGICA, says, "We're pleased that PICTORION has upgraded its scanner to the newest model.
