Optibase Ltd, a leading provider of encoding, decoding and streaming platforms, has today announced its plans for IBC, Amsterdam, 10-14th September 2004. At the show, the Company will introduce the latest release of its renowned line of MPEG Encoders and a new compact carrier-grade TV streaming platform.
For the first time, Optibase will unveil MPEG MovieMaker 200S for Macintosh, its new high-end MPEG 1 and 2 encoder that supports Power Mac G5 and Mac OS X. Designed for the creation of DVD, SVCD and VCD content, MPEG MovieMaker 200S for Macintosh complements DVD Studio Pro, Apple's DVD authoring software, as well as the other main SVCD/VCD authoring tools on the market.
Also making its worldwide debut will be MGW 1100 - the newest addition to Optibase's range of carrier-grade streaming platforms. Packaged in a compact chassis, MGW 1100 enables small to medium-sized TV over IP or A broadcast services, such as those required by Telcos and service providers, for applications that include regional head-end or MDU (Multi Dwelling Units) TV streaming. MGW 1100 also addresses enterprises and organisations that want to deploy high-end video surveillance systems or hospitality solutions.

On show will be the new, recently announced, Media 100 HD Version 10 software release featuring 99 tracks of video, RGB/HSL colour correction, an advanced keyer, and a software codec with full motion-alpha channel support. Media 100 HD, first previewed at NAB in April, is anticipated to ship in Q4 of 2004. Visitors to the stand will also be able to see 844/X Version 3.0, the largest software expansion of 844/X since the system's inception with many new real-time, multi-stream capabilities. 844/X Version 3.0, dubbed the Visual Effects Release, features advanced keying, 3D DVEs, shadow and glow effects, XML-based metadata interchange and a range of new performance optimisations for editing longer-form, layer-intensive projects.
