Open Casting Call: Reality DV Film During MacworldR/com Networks to produce "X-Rated" (Ten-Rated) reality-based digital film
X-Rated is important because it will highlight an important aspect of our society today -≠ the integration of computers into our professional lives, says R/com CEO David Barrett. ≥Because it is a reality-based show, we hope to include a wide range of creative professionals and Mac users.
The show is being produced using only digital tools, and includes a production team of experienced professionals. Director of Photography Bruce Nolte has worked on numerous Academy Award-winning productions. Director David Barrett has produced sports and commercials for broadcast, documentaries and music videos and has won more than 35 industry awards.
R/com is conducting an online casting call for the film. The company is looking for educators, students, filmmakers, designers, Web authors, and software engineers to appear in the film. Five individuals will have starring roles, while others will be offered supporting roles. Attendees of MacWorld are being encouraged to stop by the R/com booth (#3426 in MacTech Central) as many show goers will get the chance to play cameo roles, earning a wide variety of prizes along the way.
Macworld takes place in San Francisco from January 7 through the 12th, 2002. The film is scheduled for release on February 14th, 2002 on Rcom.TV. A DVD version of the movie will also be released later in the year.
