OmniBus Systems to Reveal Three New Products and Many Enhancements At NAB2006OmniBus iTX, OmniBus OPUS News & Sports Logging, and OmniBus K2 Inception to be introduced (February 02, 2006)
OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive broadcast automation, content management, and workflow solutions, has announced that it will be revealing three new products and many exciting enhancements to existing products at NAB2006. These will demonstrate that OmniBus' product portfolio is not tied to a physical hardware-based technology and are ready for the broadcaster wherever they are in their evolution toward a fully IT environment.
New at NAB2006
NEW PRODUCT: OmniBus iTX -- OmniBus iTX is a groundbreaking technology that replaces all of the functions of a broadcast master control and playout chain in a single software application. Ideal for both SD and HD content, iTX utilizes standard IT hardware and sophisticated software that significantly reduce the investment required to launch and operate a channel. iTX acts as a video server, master control, and graphics and logo inserter with automation, ingest, editing, and basic content management. iTX integrates with video or IT storage to manage video files. iTX delivers a powerful range of options -- it can be deployed on its own or as an integrated system with OmniBus Colossus.
NEW PRODUCT: OmniBus OPUS News & Sports Logging -- OmniBus will launch the new OmniBus OPUS Sports & News Logging solution -- an integrated set of tools that enables fast and intuitive logging of live and recorded events. With fast one-button-press news logging using configurable events buttons, and intuitive on-screen control of live and prerecorded feeds, OmniBus OPUS Sports & News Logging gives you all the tools for critical news logging functions as the event is happening. The product includes robust capabilities for recalling, sorting, and accessing content across multiple systems.
NEW FEATURES: OmniBus Colossus -- OmniBus will show the latest version of the OmniBus Colossus automation suite running multiple fully featured SD channels, HD channels, and a couple of IP streams. Demonstrating a new and highly scalable redundant architecture, with a small deployment footprint and simplified user interface, it is backwardly compatible with earlier versions of Colossus enabling users to simultaneously control channels running both versions from the same desktop.
NEW FEATURES: OmniBus OPUS Content Management & Workflow -- OmniBus will demonstrate the latest version of the OPUS Suite for content management and workflow. Since its release last year, OPUS has proven its capabilities with operational solutions for content management, workflow automation, and multivendor system integration in several major broadcast operations. Key new features in OPUS Suite v1.2 include archivist keyword metadata, multidomain operation, clip genealogy, and expanded craft editor integration.
NEW PRODUCT: OmniBus K2 Inception -- OmniBus will launch the new OmniBus K2 Inception, an entry level one-to-six channel playout solution designed and delivered in partnership with Grass Valley, combining the benefits of the new Grass Valley K2 server and other GV products and services with the key features of the highly successful OmniBus Colossus automation software. This competitively priced, scalable solution package includes the preconfigured and tested hardware and software system, delivery, training, and the first year of technical support services.
