OmniBus OPUS Suite Will Make Its Debut at NAB2005

To show entire suite of content management products (February 18, 2005)

OmniBus OPUS suite of content management products will make its debut at NAB2005. Building on the companys leadership in media asset management and its award-winning G3 architecture, OPUS delivers highly flexible solutions that can be adapted to the very different, specialized operational requirements of broadcasters around the world.

OPUS modular design enables it to take a cost-effective, holistic approach -- ensuring content is efficiently ingested, managed, and tracked in and around production facilities, and taken to air simply and smoothly. Broadcasters can integrate all of their systems under a single operational interface with content and individual operator tasks flowing seamlessly through the facility.

New for Automation
G3 Control is an advanced station management system that offers unmatched flexibility in providing device access, operation and management over distributed networks for highly efficient, highly integrated broadcast operations. It encompasses solutions for router control, machine control and integration with signal processing equipment, all from a customizable user interface with access available to multiple local and remote users.

Colossus V3, the new automation system for the transmission arena, combines the proven automation architecture of the award-winning delivery system with the modular flexibility of G3 technology. The result is a system able to control large numbers of channels, items, or devices - all through customizable desktop-based user interfaces, providing new levels of efficiency and flexibility to todays large-scale broadcast operations. The highly intuitive user interface with a timeline-based display allows a single operator to monitor the status of all channels at a glance and to focus in on any single stream, confirm its data, and drive it in the traditional manner should the schedule require it.

TX>Play complements Colossus, is based fully on G3, is a highly scalable modular automation system for facilities operating from one to 12 channels, and is the perfect solution for broadcasters seeking a cost-effective path into the DTV market. In addition to playlist editing, schedule importing, and other advanced features, the systems content metadata and schedule management tools facilitate simple or sophisticated levels of integration with business systems.

NEW for the HeadLine Newsroom System
HeadLine Ingest is a suite of G3 components designed to cover the entire range of news station ingest requirements from simple crash recording of line feeds to full, recurring scheduled bookings.

HeadLine TX offers a combination of both manual and semi-automatic playout. Operators have the choice of either allowing a story to play to air entirely automatically, along with its associated secondary items, or by using fully manual Betacart-style playout. It is fully MOS (Media Object Server) compatible.
