Were very excited to launch BestBuzz, our new SoLoMo (social, local, mobile) application, at SXSW Interactive this year. I am thrilled that we were able to partner with our Austin friends and kick-off the BestBuzz launch with an Appy Hour celebration, says Carrie Layne, CEO & Founder of Best Of, Inc.
Guests will enjoy the ultimate appy hour with free appetizers, open bar, and live entertainment. Grammy-award winning artists Play-N-Skillz, DJ Krave and Inertia will kick-off the party on stage at 5pm. Red Bull Thre3Style winner DJ Joe Vega will rock the party into the night adding his own DJ spin to the mix. Specialty buzz cocktails from Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, Red Bull, Avion Tequila (as seen on Entourage), and Russian Standard Vodka will be provided along with other tasty adult-beverages. Tiffs Treats, a local Austin favorite, will have warm and delicious cookies for the party, and a variety of appetizers from the Belmont Austin will work the room. Austins own photo-genius, Annie Ray, will capture creative red carpet moments. BlackBook Magazine will feature the party in the magazine and on the Nightlife Channel online.
"TabbedOut is very excited to sponsor the SXSW Appy Hour," says Rick Orr, CEO & Co-Founder, "being based in Austin, it has been amazing to see the growth of the interactive portion of SXSW over the past couple of years. Sponsoring events such as this affords us the opportunity to mingle with fellow-entrepreneurs to show them what Austin has to offer for other startups."
Download the BestBuzz mobile application available for iPhone and Android prior to the event to buzz-in for cool stuff at the party and be entered to win a trip for two to the Cayman Islands from BestBuzz.Bz. The weather is supposed to be 78 degrees and sunny, so walk over to the party or take advantage of the free valet parking and come kick-off SXSW Interactive by getting 'Appy' with us.
