PHILADELPHIA (AP) ' Occupy Wall Street isn't endorsing the Occupy conference being planned in Philadelphia.
An attorney who advised Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge last year is planning a national Occupy conference in Philadelphia over the Fourth of July.
Michael Pollok and his 99% Declaration Working Group say delegates will be elected from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories. He says they'll draft and ratify a "petition for a redress of grievances."
Han Shan is a member of the Occupy Wall Street public relations working group. He says Occupy Wall Street isn't endorsing the conference, which wasn't approved by the group's general assembly.
The Occupy Wall Street movement began in New York City and spread across the country, with protesters denouncing corporate excess and economic inequality.
