OGara Joins Filmworkers Club as Exec. ProducerTo post production activities, bidding, scheduling and client relations for the company (February 23, 2006)
May OGara has joined Filmworkers Club as Executive Producer. OGara will oversee post production activities, bidding, scheduling and client relations for the company which provides telecine, visual effects, CG and editorial finishing services for commercials and other media. She previously served as Director of Telecine and Visual Effects at Company 3 in Santa Monica, Calif.
?The face of Filmworkers Club will be drastically changing in 2006 in terms of new people and new equipment, said Reid Brody, the companys president. ?Mary is a big part of that change. We are fortunate to have her. She will be a tremendous resource to the Chicago advertising community.
OGara, who began her career in the Midwest, said that she was delighted to return to the region and excited by the unique opportunity offered by Filmworkers Club. ?This company has a wonderful reputation and a superb clientele, she said. ?The caliber of the work is outstanding and I look forward to contributing to the companys continued success. OGara noted that Filmworkers Clubs recent work included commercials for Bud Light and Aleve that debuted during this years Super Bowl broadcast.
OGara has more than ten years of experience in post production. She joined Company 3 last year?her second stint at that facility?and supervised work on numerous national television spots. She also oversaw work on several cinema ads. Previously, she served as Finishing Producer and Operation Manager at the post house R!OT, Santa Monica.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, OGara previously worked as Scheduling Manager at The Post Group, Hollywood, and held a similar position with Pacific Ocean Post in Santa Monica. She also worked at Company 3 from 1997 through 2001.
