Noise Industries Reveals Top 3 Winners of FxFactory Effects Competition

Cadereyta, Ben & Jerry's and Charles David projects demonstrate outstanding visual effects workflow and mastery (February 03, 2009)

DMN Newswire--2009-2-3-- Noise Industries, developer of visual effects tools for the post-production and broadcast markets, today announced the winners of the 2008 FxFactory Awards Competition.  Topping the winners list is effects artist Manuel Hernandez-Stumpfhuaser for his submission of the Cadereyta Mexico video. The stunning piece is treated with FxFactory effects on every frame. Everything from the FxFactory "Color Crush" filter to create that film like quality to the FxFactory "Glows" for stylizing and adding emotion to the spectacular scenery made this entry a superb example in visual effects application.
"There were many great pieces submitted and it was truly difficult to choose the winners," said Niclas Bahn, director of business development, Noise Industries "We want to thank everyone who participated in the awards competition. It is very gratifying to see how our effects technology is being used. . . from feature films, to commercials, to television shows, and event videos. It really runs the gamut and drives home the fact that FxFactory can be applied on just about any piece to make it even better."

Taking the second place spot is Art Bell from Dreamlike Pictures for his piece on legendary ice cream producers, Ben & Jerry's.  Known for their far out flavors, Art Bell really captures the essence of Ben & Jerry's iconic brand with an arsenal of FxFactory powered effects. The piece is a captivating and very well done.
Third place honors go to Nicholas Kleczewksi of Techtronic Rocket Society for his piece on the fashion giant Charles David. Nicholas relied heavily on FxFactory stylizations, color adjustments and fast-paced transitions to really make the project come to life. Other important notables are Tor Johansen's futuristic piece on InfoServices, Joel Edwards action packed ESPN submission, Jonathan Mercieca's fast paced Red Bull shots, and Roel Verlinden's short from the European TV Show the Lonely City.
