Nickelodeon Teams with 21Boom to Create Cheaper PromosCheaper by the Dozen 2 Promos Airing Throughout Month of December 2005 (December 16, 2005)
Nickelodeon has chosen 21Boom, a Manhattan based design agency, to create a series of promotional spots for the upcoming theatrical release of Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In the film, Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt return as parents of the Baker family who, while on vacation, find themselves and their twelve children in competition with an equally large rival family, headed by Eugene Levy.
The three 30-second promos feature actress and teen pop star Hilary Duff giving tips on surviving a family vacation. Footage of Ms. Duff was shot in Los Angeles and edited in-house at 21Boom. ?The challenge for our design team was to create graphics that were fun, complementary to the movie and dynamic enough to frame the mix of footage shot for the promos and pulled from the film, said Jane Holland, 21Boom Senior Art Director. The humorous spots also include a cameo performance by a local squirrel that, incidentally, worked for peanuts.
"We chose 21Boom because of their unique sensibility and flexibility, said Bill Meyers, Director of Marketing at Nickelodeon. ?We couldnt have been happier with the final product, added Stacy Kapner, Nickelodeon Creative Resources writer and producer.
The film opens in theaters on December 21. Promos run on Nickelodeon throughout the month of December.
