NewTek TriCaster Wins Big in Las VegasPortable live production system wins four awards at NAB 2005 (May 13, 2005)
NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, was a big winner at this year's National Association of Broadcasters 2005 Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the release of TriCaster, a portable live production system, NewTek pulled off a grand slam, winning four awards during the show: the NAB Award for Innovation in Media, a Government Video Magazine "Salute" and a 4EVER Group "Product Innovation Award" and a Church Media Hotlist "Best of Show".
"Until TriCaster, desktop video and presentation have been considered two separate worlds," said Philip Nelson, Senior Director of Video Marketing. "TriCaster is revolutionizing the presentation market, allowing presenters the ability to deliver their message in more dynamic and polished form, and at the same time, deliver this message more easily to any intended audience through video, projectors and the Internet."
Attendees at the NAB2005 exhibition in Las Vegas voted for the technological innovations that best addressed current and upcoming issues in the electronic media industry by boosting efficiency, increasing user flexibility and creativity, and lowering cost; TriCaster was one of five products presented with an Award for Innovation in Media for Content Management. TriCaster was also recognized with a "Salute Award" from Government Video Magazine for recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of video technology. Additionally, TriCaster garnered a "Product Innovation" Award from The 4EVER Group, an organization dedicated to providing resource and educational materials and services to all facets of the event video industry. The grand slam was completed when TriCaster was selected by Anthony Coppedge, respected and prestigious consultant for media ministry and publisher of Church Media Hotlist Newsletter, for Church Media's "Best of Show" Award at NAB.
TriCaster is an integrated, compact presentation switcher with simultaneous output to video, projector and Internet in a shoebox-sized case that weights 10 pounds. Designed to appeal to corporate presenters, educators and media ministry users, TriCaster allows users to produce presentations that have the dynamics of live television.
