NewSoft Exhibits Wireless Digital Broadcast at InfoComm 2005New product is based on 802.11a/b/g technology (June 07, 2005)
(InfoComm, Booth 3601) June 6, 2005 This week at InfoComm 2005, NewSoft America, Inc. will showcase the new Presto! Wireless Video Relay (WVR), a versatile home wireless broadcast system based on 802.11a/b/g technology. A provider of software and wireless broadcast technology for businesses and consumers, NewSoft will be demonstrating this new product at the show from Booth 3601.
Comprised of a digital video transmitter and NewSofts Presto! PVR (Personal Video Recorder) software for video recording and editing, Presto! WVR enables users to broadcast digital/analog TV or digital camcorder AV to multiple PCs or notebooks. For added versatility, additional wireless hardware video receivers can be purchased enabling the digital broadcast to be received by PDP or LCD monitors. As a result, users can view video content on multiple televisions and displays or edit their favorite video programs on their wireless-enabled PC or notebook from anywhere in the home, school or other closed video network environment.
?The Presto! WVR is an ideal solution for a broad range of wireless video applications, says James Li, President of NewSoft. ?Compact, powerful and economically priced, it offers home users exceptional flexibility for their home video entertainment system. But in learning and other closed circuit environments that have traditionally been restricted by cables, these locations can now broadcast and receive that same high-quality digital content when cost or location limits wired access.
The Presto! WVR provides several powerful technologies, including unique AV broadcasting ability, seamless viewing capability, a high-performance DVD burning kernel, an enhanced MPEG transcoding process and Dynamic Transport Stream Control Mechanism (DTCM). A truly flexible solution, Presto! WVR users can add supplementary hardware video receivers for PDP/LCD viewing, additional video senders, even additional copies of NewSofts Presto! PVR as the users requirements grow and change.
NewSofts standard package includes a digital video sender and NewSofts Presto! PVR for video recording and editing. The software includes time-shifting, MPEG 1/2 recording (MPEG 4 encoder optional), DTCM and seamless playback technology. The DTCM error handling mechanism automatically corrects signals received under unstable signal environments ensuring a smooth reception. Presto! PVR users can also watch video programs on multiple displays around the home by simply connecting the optional hardware video receivers to any standard PDP/LCD monitor.
