New Version of Innovative Actors App Makes Memorizing Lines Even Faster and Easier(July 29, 2011)
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) July 29, 2011
An actor emerges from the wings in darkness and walks to the edge of the stage. Looking out over the hushed audience, pulse pounding, one thought races through the actors mind, What is my first line?!
During the last nine months, customers of the Scene Partner® App have had a new weapon to fight this universal actors fear. Now that new weapon has new features. MyTheaterApps.com, a developer of mobile applications for the theater community, has announced the release of a new version of Scene Partner, its award winning app for actors. Scene Partner 1.5 will sport a new look that is designed specifically for the iPad, along with 17 new text-to-speech voices that customers can purchase for use with the app. The new version was formally announced at the American Alliance for Theatre & Educations Annual Conference in Chicago.
J. Kevin Smith, owner of MyTheaterApps.com and the developer of Scene Partner, has been acting for 30 years. Ive been there and done that. he says. Nothing is more frightening on stage than forgetting your lines. Ive been bailed out by my fellow actors and Ive bailed them out in return. Its what we do. Ive seen just about every situation that you can think of. Ive even seen an actor forget when they were supposed to exit. How do you forget when youre supposed to exit?!
While no solution can guarantee you wont ever forget your lines, Scene Partner gives actors a tool that they can use if they are aural learners who learn how to memorize lines by listening to them over and over, or visual learners who focus on the written text. Actors can now download the new version of Scene Partner from Apples AppStore. There is a free version, Scene Partner Lite and a full version, Scene Partner, which can be downloaded for only $4.99. Current customers can update their existing version to Scene Partner 1.5 for free and use it across all of their Apple mobile devices.
