New Mobile App Promises To Transform Political Campaigning

  (February 20, 2012)

Bradenton, Florida (PRWEB) February 20, 2012

Voters, political candidates, and organizations can tap into the power of smartphones like never before with VoterBuzz, a new mobile application that promises to transform the way campaigns are conducted.

VoterBuzz was released Feb. 7 on the Android platform, and a limited version is available on the iPhone platform. The new app equips candidates and organizations to address all of their grassroots campaign needs, including volunteer recruitment, fundraising, event ticket sales reservations, polling, video/audio outreach and social networking. With an app like this, you know youre being more efficient, said Bill Galvano, a Florida State Senate candidate and VoterBuzz subscriber in a interview with the Bradenton Herald. It also empowers voters to discreetly or visibly follow candidates and organizations of their choice, and to spread word about them through Twitter, Facebook or email.

More Americans use smartphones than use a computer, according to Google. And more people age 45 to 54, which is a pivotal voting bloc, own smartphones than those age 18 to 34. This means that mobile apps are more important than ever to the success of political campaigns.

We created this app to help candidates and voters maximize their impact in an increasingly digital world, says Andrea Torkelson, president of VoterBuzz, based in Bradenton, Fl. Were excited to offer the most promising and useful political mobile app on the market.

Candidates and organizations can subscribe to VoterBuzz through a 60-day free trial available only through Feb. 29. Users can download the app for free and are not required to use a last name or political affiliation. VoterBuzz is designed to be interactive without being intrusive, Torkelson says. It enables voters to receive important information without telling the world their party preference.

VoterBuzz is non-partisan and open to all candidates and groups, provides space for disclaimers, and provides campaigns reporting features to keep them compliant with Federal Election Commission standards.
