NatureFind Launches Unique Facebook Local Pages(June 14, 2011)
Eugene, OR (PRWEB) June 14, 2011
With an average screen time of 8.5 hours per day many people find themselves wanting a dose of nature.(1) To help provide a solution, NatureFind is announcing the launch of its Facebook Local Pages.
These local Facebook pages help people discover nature nearby by learning about great places and events. Each page includes local maps, descriptions, schedules, photos, directions, posts and other useful information.
Places over 10,000 carefully selected nature places such as nature centers, parks, zoos, botanical gardens, wildlife areas, preserves and more;
Events - more than 250,000 events a year throughout the country including something for everyone, from hikes to canoe lessons to garden tours and ranger talks.
With this new approach to Facebook pages, people are discovering great nature experiences nearby said Wayne Parker, founder of NatureFind. They often tell us they didnt know about a place or event that was within a few miles of their home.
And since these pages are local, visitors can post and discuss outings, share photos, invite others, and search NatureFinds national database of places and events. said Mr. Parker. The first 40 local pages have launched and new ones are being added every week based on feedback from viewers. Were excited to provide a free service that unites nature enthusiasts with the places that offer these great experiences.
