Napkin Labs Introduces New Off-the-Shelf Facebook Apps

Companies Can Now Install Popular Crowdsourcing and Idea-Gathering Apps Directly Into Facebook Timelines (May 10, 2012)

BOULDER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/10/12 -- Today Napkin Labs announces its suite of off-the-shelf apps for companies to learn from their Facebook fans and engage with customers in entirely new ways. Companies can now install Napkin Labs apps directly into their Facebook Timeline Pages, and run their own campaigns to drive authentic fan engagement, more "likes," and more impressions.

Designed to create a two-way dialogue with fans, Napkin Labs' apps let companies turn Facebook into a hub for collaborating with customers. For example, using the Brainstorm app, companies can ask fans questions, allowing them to share content, "like," and build on each other's ideas. The Brainstorm app gives fans a public, creative outlet to contribute ideas right on a company's Facebook page.

"Facebook fans are looking for much more than one-off sweepstakes, coupons, or messages being pushed at them constantly," explains Riley Gibson, co-founder and CEO of Napkin Labs. "Now companies can use our off-the-shelf apps themselves to give customers a place to voice opinions and share insights -- and build an engaged, loyal community of customers in the process."

The full suite of Facebook apps include:

  • BRAINSTORM: Let fans share their ideas around a specific topic and reward the best ones.
  • PHOTOBOARD: Host contests, collect inspiring designs, and discover insights from your community through pictures.
  • PIPELINE: Start a social suggestion box for fans to create an ongoing dialog with their favorite brands.
  • SUPERFANS: See and connect with your most influential and active fans.

"Through the Domino's 'Think Oven' Facebook app, Napkin Labs has proven that Facebook is no longer just a place for brands to get 'likes' but it can also be a powerful platform for a business to leverage external feedback to the benefit of both the business and customers alike," explains David Armano, a leader in social media for business and EVP, Global Innovation & Integration of Edelman Digital. "The new 'self serve' suite of tools now makes this kind of 'social business value' accessible to a broader range of social savvy companies who look at social media as something bigger than a mere tactic."

The entire app suite is free to try for 30 days. After the free trial, the app suite is available through a monthly subscription, with plans starting at $20 for Facebook pages with up to 20,000 fans. All plans include the full suite of Napkin Labs apps, Facebook Social Graph integration, dedicated customer support, custom header banners, one-click installation, and much more.
