NYPA Welcomes NY State Senator Eric Schneiderman

Praises NYPA for its work in widening the appreciation and understanding of NY?s film, television and new-media industries (March 14, 2006)

NY State Senator Eric Schneiderman met with the New York Production Alliance Board of Directors and other NYPA representatives March 9th to discuss the positive effects of the Empire State Film Production Tax Credit Bill and to gather first-hand insights into NYPAs on-going role as an advocate for New York City and New York States collective production/post-production community.

Senator Schneiderman praised NYPA for its work in widening the appreciation and understanding of NYs film, television and new-media industries growing economic importance to the City and State. He emphasized the points that these are ?no smokestack businesses which generate substantial revenue for NY while simultaneously enhancing its image to the world. ?NYPA is helping to bring good paying, quality jobs to New York State in an industry that has the potential to keep growing in years ahead, Senator Schneiderman said.
