NYC protesters mark 3 months of Occupy Wall StreetProtesters at NYC park mark 3 months since Occupy Wall Street demonstrations began
NEW YORK (AP) ' A group of protesters have gathered in a small New York park to mark three months since the start of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
A few hundred demonstrators and onlookers were gathered Saturday in Duarte Square, a half-acre wedge of a park at the edge of Manhattan's Tribeca section.
They plan speeches and performances throughout the day.
The park is adjacent to a church-owned lot that was the scene of arrests last month, when some demonstrators tried to take over the space after they were cleared out of Zuccotti Park.
Trinity Wall Street church owns that fenced-in property. Church officials say they support the protesters but the property is not available for an encampment.
Occupy Wall Street's press team says protesters might try to seize property anyway Saturday.
