NVISION Announces CR Series of Compact RoutersNVISION quality at entry-level pricing for cost-conscious markets and applications (February 07, 2006)
NVISION is redefining compact routers with its worldwide launch today of its expanded product line, the CR Series of Compact Router Systems. The CR Series delivers high-performance NVISION quality for budget-conscious applications in broadcast, mobile, production, and post-production, and also where compact size and operational simplicity are critical factors. Users can expect an out-of-the-box experience for easy set up and installation, as well as an intuitive easy-to-use GUI. Additionally, the CR Series can be controlled by an NV9000 control system for integration into large routing systems.
?The price-sensitive market has long needed an affordable high-performance routing solution and the CR Series provides just that. NVISION has employed its award-winning engineering design and manufacturing capabilities to address the needs of this market, stated Chuck Meyer, president of NVISION. ?With the CR Series, customers can have NVISION quality at entry-level price points.
Comprising all the NVISION standards of quality, high performance, error-free signal transmission, and control flexibility, the 1RU CR1616 (16 X 16) AND 2RU CR3232 (32 x 32) offer HD, SD, and AES formats in self-contained units, each with a chassis depth of less than two inches, including rear-panel connectors. All models offer redundant power supplies, front-panel control, interchangeable front button panels, and the HD and SD models accept embedded audio. Control choices are flexible via the local panel or Ethernet, or in a local control mini-network in which up to four routers can be controlled from a single CR panel. All CR Series routers are compatible with NVISIONs NV9000 Router Control System.
Mukul Krishna, Principal Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, stated, ?NVISION is offering strong price/performance value for the budget-conscious small router market. NVISION is synonymous with high-performance routing, and now with pricing for restricted budgets their proven technology is extended to a broader market of users who can benefit from error-free signal transmission.
