CHESTERFIELD, N.J. (AP) ' The National Transportation Safety Board has joined the investigation of a school bus crash in New Jersey that killed an 11-year-old triplet and severely injured her two sisters and one other child.
NTSB investigators plan to hold a briefing late Friday on what they have found so far.
A dump truck collided with the bus early Thursday in the town of Chesterfield, south of Trenton.
Triplet Isabelle Tezsla was killed, and her two sisters were severely injured. Natalie was upgraded from critical to stable condition Friday. Sophie remains in critical condition.
The triplets are the daughters of a state trooper.
A fourth student remains in critical condition.
The NTSB only selectively investigates highway accidents. It got involved in this crash because it's been focusing on school bus safety.
