NI Releases Battery 1.3.1

New version addresses Mac OS X issues By Dave Nagel
Native Instruments has released an update for Battery, an audio sampler designed for percussion. The new 1.3.1 version fixes problems that have been identified since the 1.3 release, which came out last month. It's available now for Mac OS X.

Battery is a sampler designed for percussion programming. The 1.3 version, which shipped last month, was the first release for Mac OS X, adding support for Core Audio and Core MIDI, as well as VST 2. In addition, it's also been brought up to speed to gain compatibility with the latest versions of third-party sequencers on Mac OS X, such as Digidesign's Pro Tools (via RTAS), Emagic's Logic (via Audio Units), MOTU's Digital Performer 4.1 (via Audio Units) and Steinberg's Cubase SX and Nuendo via VST 2. The new 1.3.1 update adds fixes for interference between tracks in Logic, high CPU load, missing notes and a crash that occurred when dragging in some instances.

Battery 1.3.1 is available as a free update for current users on Mac OS X. For more information, visit
