NEC Unveils Combo Projector

DT100 doubles as overhead, digital projector By Dave Nagel
NEC has released a multifunction projection system. The new DT100 is a combination of a digital projector and an overhead projector targeted toward presentation professionals. The new model is available now.

As an overhead projector, the DT100 can project documents, transparencies and 3D objects from its flatbed surface. It includes a 2 megapixel, single plate CCD for high-resolution overhead projection. It also includes zoom capabilities for moving in on details of an object being projected. NEC did not release information about how large the 3D objects can be.

As a standard digital projector, the DT100 offers native XGA resolution. It also uses NEC's AccuBlend technology for projecting from sources up to SXGA. The DT100 also incorporates AutoSense technology, enabling users to switch between display modes with the touch of a button. The projector produces 3,250 ANSI lumens of brightness.

The DT100 weighs 18.7 pounds and sells for $10,995. For more information, visit
