NEC Debuts LCD Monitors

19-inch model sells for $1,300 By Dave Nagel
NEC-Mitsubishi today announced the new NEC MultiSync LCD NX series. The new lineup includes NEC's first 19-inch and digital 17-inch LCD monitors. The 19-inch model is available now, wit the 17-inch display set to ship in July.

The new NX monitor family supports multiple resolutions up to 1,280 x 1,024 and provide flexible fields of vision that extend 170 degrees on both the horizontal and vertical planes using NEC's XtraView wide viewing angle technology. Users can adjust onscreen colors with NEC's AccuColor Control System.

The NEC MultiSync LCD1920NX offers a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 500:1. The NEC MultiSync LCD1700NX provides a high-bright backlight of 200 cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 300:1. Both support Macintosh and Windows systems.
