NEC Announces MT ProjectorsTwo new models feature networking technology
The MT1060 and MT1065 can communicate continuously and in real time from a computer to the projector through a wired LAN system using a 10base-T or wireless system via Wi-Fi 802.11b. (The wireless option lets users place their laptop anywhere in the room and switch between presentations on multiple laptops.) The projectors also allow online diagnostics by accessing the menu system from a remote location.
The MT60 Series includes NEC's 3D Reform technology, which offers horizontal, vertical and diagonal keystone correction. The new projectors also feature automatic, adaptive color correction for more accurate representation on any kind of display material, including textured walls. An automatic focus lens also allows for switching between multiple screens without having to refocus the projector.
Both models are LCD based and offer XGA native resolution (1,024 x 768) with a brightness of 2,300 and 3,000 ANSI lumens, respectively. The models will also offer an optional long-life lamp. Both models weigh in at 12 pounds.
The MT60 Series projectors will be available in the fall. Pricing has not yet been determined. For more information, visit http://www.necvisualsystems.com.
