MyPsych iPhone App Helps Users Be Happy, Healthy

  (June 05, 2012)

Wilton, CT (PRWEB) June 05, 2012

MyPsych is a new iPhone application that helps you live more freely. One third of Americans, over 100 million people, suffer from mental illness. Unnecessary stress and anxiety cost the country billions of dollars each year. 50% of individuals with mental illness do not seek treatment.

The key to happiness, according to MyPsych, is embracing your psychological wellbeing. MyPsych helps people to reduce stress and anxiety by allowing them to track, visualize, and improve emotions and lifestyle.

Users of the iPhone app can learn to relax, gain clarity through introspection, and finally create goals for lifestyle improvement. The focus is on self-actualization. The best way to improve your life is to improve the lives of others say the My-Psych creators, college students at the George Washington University and Tufts University.

Users of MyPsych can graphically record, analyze, and visualize emotions. They then build emotional awareness, set goals, and track progress. You earn points for encouraging others to improve lifestyle and live happier, healthier lives.

The MyPsych process requires only a few seconds of time each day, but the emotional, mental, relationship, and lifestyle benefits extend infinitely into daily life. Since 75% of mental illnesses begin before age 25, the iPhone app is the perfect tool for college students and teenagers.

According to an Executive Director at Screening for Mental Health, Inc, This tool may have application not only for personal use, but also as a platform to be used in conjunction with professional counseling. An advanced My-Psych website will be released this summer. The developers of MyPsych are also making a therapist end system of the platform that will redefine mental health screening.

The MyPsych team believes that everyone will benefit from the resources that MyPsych provides. The app will be updated frequently based on the feedback that users provide.
