My Pain Diary: Chronic Pain Management v1.990 for iPhone Now Available

  (May 31, 2012)

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) May 31, 2012

My Pain Diary: Chronic Pain Management (MPD) is used by thousands of patients and e-Patients around the world to track and manage a variety of chronic conditions such as: migraines, fibromyalgia, back pain, depression, allergies and more.

MPD takes the traditional practice of documenting the severity and frequency of one's pain and marries it with the iPhone, taking full advantage of the technology therein.

The latest update adds several new features.

The new 'Color Flags' feature acts as categories for the patient's entries. This allows users to easily track multiple conditions. Over 60% of users currently track multiple chronic conditions with MPD, so this is likely to be a popular addition.

The calendar, graph, and doctors report can be filtered by Color Flags, giving the patient and the doctor a more concise view of the data. No longer will the rheumatologist have to sort through headache entries.

MPD comes with a pretty good pain scale with descriptions. However, pain is personal and no matter how good a scale is, it cant be suitable for everyone. Therefore, users can now edit the pain scale descriptions to suit their needs. Patients should consult with their doctors and set up the pain scale in a way that makes sense for them.

Another new feature is private entries. Private entries wont appear on doctors reports.

As is typical, this update comes with performance and interface improvements as well.

MPD was created to help patients track chronic pain, document triggers and remedies, and report the data to healthcare professionals. Created and actively maintained by a chronic pain sufferer, My Pain Diary for iOS simplifies the process of keeping a pain diary and communicating the information with healthcare professionals.

'a damon lynn app' is the moniker for apps developed by, you guessed it, Damon Lynn. Damon has been involved in interactive media for the last decade. Before falling for the iPhone, Damon built a successful career in web design & development, Flash development, multimedia production and entrepreneurial innovationism. When Damon is not hard at work improving My Pain Diary, he is spending time with his family, developing casual games, and making up words like innovationism.
