MultimediaPhoto Updates PhotomatixExposure blending software gains 16-bit support
Photomatix is designed to expand the dynamic range of photographs by combining bracketed images in order to alleviate problems of underexposure and overexposure. It offers six modes of exposure blending, batch support and comparative histograms. The new version adds 16-bit support plus HDR (high dynamic range) compression from a single 48-bit image for recovering shadow details. It also adds an alignment tool for out of register images.
Photomatix 1.3 is available now for Mac OS X and Windows for $99. A "lite" version is also available for $35. For more information, visit http://www.hdrsoft.com.
