MovingChart Coming to Mac in June

OS X-native version included in release By Dave Nagel
StageTools has announced MovingChart, a new tool for motion graphics professionals for producing 3D charts and graphs in video presentations. StageTools is also the maker of the MovingPicture plugin, a pan and zoom tool for documentary filmmakers working with still images. MovingChart will be available in June for Mac OS X and OS 9, according to the company.

Charts created in MovingChart are fully anti-aliased and can include bar, area, line, marker and pie-style charts. The data can be animated, as well as the chart itself, in full 3D. Data for the charts can be imported from spreadsheet or text applications, and the chart can be rendered over moving backgrounds.

Motion for the charts can be previewed in real time, and motion paths are splined and tapered. The graphics are field rendered with sub-pixel accuracy to AVI or QuickTime file formats.

A Windows version will be available May 1. The Mac versions will ship in June, and evaluation copies will be available for download. MovingChart will sell for $199. For more information, visit
