Moreno Valley, Calif. Finds New World Systems to Be the Best Technology, Solution and Partner

(November 21, 2011)

TROY, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 11/21/11 -- The City of Moreno Valley, Calif. is replacing a legacy tier-one financial system with new technology from an industry leader focused solely on serving local government. The City has signed a contract with New World Systems to license their fully integrated Logos.NET™ Public Administration suite of solutions to increase efficiency and improve service to citizens.

Burdened with the high cost of maintaining a large, customizable solution, the City decided to look for a configurable, government-centric solution. Instead of a system retro-fitted for cities and counties, Moreno Valley was looking for a solution designed from the very beginning specifically for local government business. With the new system, the City will streamline operations, save time and better track their finances by eliminating the many spreadsheets and non-integrated systems they developed over the years.

"We lose revenue when disparate systems don't talk to each other," said Dori Lienhard, Enterprise Systems Administrator. "Investing in a solution that ties all our information together and makes it easily accessible throughout the system is incredibly valuable to us."

Moreno Valley officials were also looking for the latest technology that would offer simplified maintenance and seamless integration with the Microsoft tools and applications City employees use every day. After conducting hands-on labs, site visits, corporate visits, and technology discussions with many different vendors, Moreno Valley officials and employees found New World systems to be the best fit solution and partner for the City.

"During the labs, we were able to see how the software works in real time, and our users experienced first-hand how intuitive New World's solution is compared to the competition," said Lienhard. "Because we've had a drastic reduction in staff due to the economy, it was even more important to become efficient by finding the best match for us -- not only a match in technology, but also in commitment and vision. New World spends a lot of time and energy staying close to the business that we do. Unlike a lot of other vendors, they appreciate the complexity of local government administration."

New World's ongoing investment in development and proven long-term commitment to serving their public sector customers were also key factors in the City's decision to select the Company.

"After our evaluation, we were convinced that New World will take their product in the same direction we want to go with our services," said Steve Hargis, Technology Services Division Manager. "New World's software is designed with enough flexibility to work the way we need it to, but not so much that it requires costly consultants and expensive, time-consuming upkeep. New World has drawn the lines of configurable versus customizable solutions for local government extremely well."

New World is providing Moreno Valley with Logos.NET Financial Management, Payroll and Human Resources, eSuite and Business Analytics software developed in-house using proven Microsoft.NET™ technology, industry-standard Windows® Server and SQL® Server. The completely unified solution with built-in workflow will eliminate additional spreadsheets and systems and redundant data entry and help to reduce paperwork for the City. The system will also decentralize access to information so departments can better track their financial information. Using eSuite, the City will empower citizens, vendors and employees with access to information via the Internet, saving valuable time for employees. New World's Business Analytics and Decision Support solution will improve reporting and analysis of financial information, helping the City make more informed decisions during these cost-conscious times.

"New World understands that decisions are made based on information and that good, easy-to-analyze information is critical to a local government organization," said Lienhard. "They understood this well before a lot of other companies did, and it shows in their commitment to developing their Business Analytics solution."

Moreno Valley is looking forward to using New World's solutions to better serve more than 193,000 residents and experiencing the time-saving benefits of a solution designed specifically for local government.

"Moreno Valley highlights a few of the many reasons why city and county governments across the United States continue to choose New World," said Mark Prevost, Vice President of Marketing and North American Sales. "The total cost of ownership for our fully integrated government-specific solutions is compelling for organizations burdened by expensive and highly-customized tier-one solutions. This, combined with our true Microsoft.NET architecture that keeps ongoing costs low and enables government employees to work right from their existing Microsoft solutions, makes Logos.NET one of a kind. We're thrilled to partner with the city of Moreno Valley, California and have such deep respect for all the team there."
